LETS BE ONE

Recently there has been reports that the youth in mostly the outskirt of town are beign used mostly by politicians to gain their selfish interest. Mostly they are used for political reasons and chieftancy issues.
They are made to fight other factions of the society for mere amount of money. Only if the government had created enough jobs for them, all these menace would be controlled.
Recent clashes between political parties and chieftance issues saw many dead and injured. I will take this opportunity to express my condolences to those who lost thier lives and wish that the rest of us dont fall into this trap set ahead of us.

Pastors Descend on Traditional Priest

kwaku bonsam a local priest living in the second capital city attacked a pastor who refused to pay annual compensation to the gods.

This has followed a strong critism from the christian association and groups on kwaku bonsam challenging him to come out with proofs.A pot containing rituals that was given to the pastor in retrospect was found hidden under his church pulpit and was recovered during a sunday church surman. The whole congregation was shocked to this revelation yet the pastor has denied this whole thing as a plot by the priest to damage him.

This revelation has brought a massive shake up among christians in the country and also a big challenge to the pastors to redeme themselves.Others have thrown a challenge to the priest to proove him wrong.Power lies in the Almighty God and no one can deny that so if kwaku bonsam thinks he can disgrace us and go free then he must be prepared for a big challenge, said one pastor.

Kwaku bonsam is an Ashanti fetish priest; a powerful one of course, who uses his powers to heal the sick, help people who want to travel abroad, help traders get better sales, protect people from fraudsters, dis-empower witches and wizards or help people who have one problem or the other.

STREET HAWKING DESTROYING ACCRA ROADS

Accra is loosing its beauty it had due to the increasing number of street hawkers on the roads especially at the central part of the capital.

This is becoming increasingly unbearable each passing day since the number keeps increasing. The efforts by previous and present government to control this indisciplinary attitude has proved futile. The National Democratic Congress(NDC) during its period in power drove the hawkers out of the streets from time to time. This present government,NPP went a step further.

A new market which cost the government millions of cedis has been completed and commissioned for use yet these sellers have refused to go there because according to them there is poor patronage from the public. Most sellers I talked to had similar complains. They comlained of poor drainage at the new site.

It always got flooded when it rained making it impossible to move freely in the market, said a tomato seller. They also complained of the size of the market. The market is too small to contain all the three groups selling on the street. The General Secretary of the Petty Traders Association said unless all three groups could get into one market they will not move from the streets.

This problem is due to the increasing migration from the rural areas by young men and women seeking greaner pastures in the city. They have abandoned their villages and farms.

This problem can be solved if the government creats enough jobs in the rural areas for the people and also develope those areas to the standard of a capital.
